Creating a 90 second short film

To create a 90 second short film

We decided on a short comedic tragedy using imagination to visualize thoughts and feelings.

During the planning we decided on our locations which Emily scouted.

For our minutes we all took turns giving accurate descriptions off our meetings.

I wrote the police email informing them where we wish to be filming.

Emily completed the production schedule with input from both Ruben and I

I completed the talent releases and also scouted all the talent.

Emily completed the risk assessment.

Ruben completed the timeline and storyboard

Emily also wrote the script with assistance from Ruben and I

Ruben completed the shot list.

I personally believe I could have completed a bit more I feel like I was distracted by the post production and developing my skills in animating.

The completed project definitely reflected our planning. Some shots where cut but that was too be expected as we wanted to prepare more shots than we needed the shots we cut where too difficult for the small affect they would have had to the overall film and we needed to cut some shots as if we hadn't the film would have overrun. However we did have a location swap alongside a talent drop out. Also we decided to rely less on animation utilizing physical effects.

What do you think is the most successful aspect of the project? Print screen at least 2 stills from your video and explain your choices fully.

The scenes in the park where framed so well with the props working perfectly. The use off paper glasses was a last minute idea that I think worked so well despite my original hesitation.

The lighting on the pear was such an intuitive idea from Emily and it gave the perfect effect alongside the sad eyes I framed overtop with the sound timings with the cut. I gives the audience such an uncomfortable feeling I love,

What would you change or do differently if you were to undertake the task again? Use at least 2 print screens here too.

If we where to redo it I probably would have hoped to spend more time with the animation as it was my first time developing these skills.

Also I would use less premade effects and go out and do our own folley art and possibly make our own music. It would make the film feel more complete.

The time spent shooting was great fun I loved every moment off the nonsense you have to do to get the correct shot.

The Complete Monster Movie

This is a monster movie I edited together in premier pro.  To complete the audio we had to become folly artists utilizing unique tools to simulate specific sounds. Like for the sound of machinery we rattled pens in a metal tin. If I where to complete this again I'd attempt to use more settings on the microphone to create more unique sound effects like altering the gain on the microphone when recording the monsters scream to get a more unsettling sound.

Movie Poster

My first attempt using photoshop to create a movie poster To create this poster I learned to use photoshop using multiple techniques. Such as gradient control to create a static effect for the background.

Emotional Photos

Each of these images are to depict a separate emotion To depict these images we utilized different angles like a High Angle Shot to show weakness or a low angle shot to show power.
